Program Overview
B.Sc. – Radiography & Imaging Technology is a 4 year degree program that aims at imparting the requisite knowledge and skills required to operate different medical imaging machinery. During the course of study, students will acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of Anatomy & Physiology, X- ray, Ultrasound Imaging, Radiography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and CT Imaging. On graduating, students would be well-equipped to handle medical imaging equipment’s in hospitals, diagnostic centres and research laboratories.
Career Prospects
- Radiography and Imaging has completely revolutionized medicine since X-rays were first discovered by W.C. Rontgen in 1895, none of the major hospitals can now function without X-rays, CT Scans, MRI Scans and Angiography Procedures. Radiography and imaging technology is an Exciting Field that aims to trains candidates on different aspects of Diagnostic and Interventional radiology.
- The Course enables the candidate to learn about the fundamentals of electromagnetic Radiation, X-ray production, Fluoroscopy, Tomography and advanced imaging like ultrasound(USG), CT, MRI, Angiography and PET, etc.,
- The career and job opportunities in the field of radiography are enormous worldwide. The demand of radiographers has been increased dramatically in recent times with the huge development in imaging technologies. Radiographers can work in any all kinds of hospitals, diagnostic centers, teaching institutions and research field. The employment prospects for radiographers are vast, both within the country and in overseas
